COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
LABEL
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
This Commercial Item Description covers a white, pressure sensitive label suitable for use with a pharmacy label printer.
Salient characteristics:
The label shall be white, pressure sensitive adhesive label suitable for a pharmacy label printer. The label shall be a continuous roll, 4-1/4 inches (10.80 cm) wide by 375 feet (114 meters) long.
The label shall have a secure, but easily removed, backing to protect the pressure sensitive adhesive on the label. The label roll shall have a 3 inch inside diameter core.
The roll shall be smoothly, evenly, and tightly wound with no wrinkles, holes, or voids. The edges shall be clean cut. When unwound, the protective backing shall not separate from the label until the label is ready for use.
The label shall produce a clear and legible, smudge-proof label print. The label shall be resistant to acid, grease, oil, and water.
Workmanship. The label shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit. Package (PG). One package containing four rolls of labels, as specified, constitutes one unit.
