The contractor shall certify and maintain substantiating evidence that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this Commercial Item Description, and that the product conforms to the producer’s own drawing, specifications, and quality assurance practices. The Government reserves the right to require proof of conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
Each lot of Blotting paper shall be inspected for conformance to the requirements herein. Sampling for inspection shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-105 using the plans specified below.
A. Visual and Dimensional characteristics – Inspection Level II with an Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) of 4.0 percent defective. The sample unit shall be one sheet.
B. Component testing – The paper stock shall be tested in accordance with referenced TAPPI test methods. Characteristics of the component paper stock tested for conformance to the requirements in section 1 do not have to be retested under end item testing. A certified test report is evidence that the paper has passed the required test.
5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY:
Packaging, packing and marking shall be as specified in the contract or purchase order.
6. REFERENCED DOCUMENTS: The issue of each document in effect on the date of the solicitation shall be used to determine compliance with these requirements.
