Color of reproductions shall be purple. The duplicating master sets shall be capable of reproducing at least 300 purple copies. All copies shall be clearly legible and shall be free from smudges, blurs, or smears.

E. Bleaching : To obtain an acceptable brightness, a chemical bleaching process may be used, When specified , ( See Section 6 ), the bleaching process shall not include the use of chlorine, chlorine dioxide, hypochlorite. Certification of compliance shall be made available upon request by the Government.

F. Workmanship. The paper set shall be clean, uniformly coated, and free from pinholes, uncoated areas,  or other defects which might affect the appearance or quality of reproduction.

2. Quality Assurance Provisions. Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in this commercial item description where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure that supplies and services conform to prescribed requirement.

Sampling for examination and tests shall be performed in accordance with MIL-STD-105, using the plans as specified in Table 2, unless otherwise stated. For the purpose of sampling, a lot shall consist of duplicating paper sets. The sample unit shall be 1 paper set for visual/workmanship and dimensional examination and one fully prepared shipping container for preparation for delivery examination, unless specified otherwise.
