COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
PAPER, LEDGER, UNRULED
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description, for all Federal Agencies.
1. Scope. This description covers cotton or linen white ledger paper and white and colored ledger paper, and reflects item requirements parallel to the specifications of the Joint Committee on Printing (JCP).
2. Classification.
Type I- 100 percent, white, ledger (JCP J30)
Type II- 25 percent, white, ledger (JCP J20)
Type III- Ledger, white and colored (JCP J10)
3. Salient characteristics:
3.1 Materials.
Type I shall meet all requirements of JCP J30.
Type II shall meet all requirements of JCP J20.
Type III shall meet all requirements of JCP J10.
3.2. Basis weight. The basis weight of the ledger paper shall be as specified.
3.3. Size and trim. Shall be as specified and shall conform to the requirements set forth in the JCP Government Paper Specification Standards under “Size and trim”.
