D. Grain. Shall be as specified in the contract or order. (See Section 7).
E. Color. Types I and II mimeograph paper shall be furnished in white. Type III shall also be blue, buff, green, pink, or yellow, as specified in the contract or order. (See Section 7).
F. Bleaching: To obtain an acceptable brightness, a chemical bleaching process may be used. When specified, (See Section 7), the bleaching process shall not include the use of chlorine, chlorine dioxide, or hypochlorite. Certification of compliance shall be made available upon request by the Government.
G. Workmanship. All types of paper in accordance with this specification shall be clean, free from dirt spots, oil spots, shives, foreign matter, and shall be uniform in color. The sheets shall be free from holes, tears, cuts, folds, scuff marks, lint, fuzz, or any particles. There shall be no splices within a sheet and there shall be no partial sheets. There shall be no defects that affect appearance or serviceability.
3. Quality Assurance Provisions. Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspection set forth in this commercial item description where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure that supplies and services conform to prescribed requirement.
