COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
PAPER, TELETYPEWRITER, ROLL
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description, for all Federal Agencies.
1. Scope. This description covers friction feed single and multi-copy teletypewriter papers in roll form.
2. Classification.
Class 1- Single copy.
Grade A - 95 percent bleached chemical wood fibers
Grade B - Processed wood fibers.
Class 2- Multi-copy, regular weight (carbon interleaved).
Gmde A - 95 percent bleached chemical wood fibers
GradeB - Processed Wood fibers.
Class 3- Auto-copy.
Class 4- Multi-copy, special weight (carbonic interleaved).
Class 5- Multi-copy, carbonless surface coated.
Grade A - 95 percent bleached chemical wood fibers
Grade B - Processed wood fibers
Class 6 Multi-copy, carbonless, self imaging.
Style A - For ribbon-equipped teleprinters
Style B - For ribbonless teleprinters.
3. Salient characteristic:
3.1 Materials used shall conform to the requirements specified herein. No polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) shall be added or used during the manufacture of the paper or in any coating operation on the base paper. The contractor shall submit a certificate stating that noPCBS have been added or use during the manufacturing or converting operations.
